The upstream oxygen sensor monitors exhaust gas composition right after the S58 engine's cylinders, feeding real-time data to the ECU so it can keep the air-fuel mixture precisely tuned.

This sensor is designed to fit the BMW G82 M4's S58 twin-turbo I6 exhaust layout, threading into the factory upstream sensor bung.

A failing upstream O2 sensor can trigger check-engine lights and hurt fuel economy or performance — a properly fitted replacement restores accurate fueling feedback and smooth engine operation.
