The crankshaft position sensor tracks the exact position and speed of the crankshaft, information the ECU relies on for correct ignition timing and fuel injection on the S55 twin-turbo engine.
Designed to fit the BMW F80 M3's S55 engine, it installs directly at the factory crank sensor mounting point.
A failing crank sensor can cause hard starting, stalling, or a complete no-start condition — replacing it with a correctly fitted sensor restores reliable engine timing and starting.
